The FocusWest productions

"Western Prisons" aired on Thursday, January 22, 2004, in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming. This hour long program takes viewers inside the walls, through the bars, and into the lives of those who call prison home.

"The Price of Power" aired on November 25, 2003, during prime time in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming. This hour long program examines what trade-offs westerners are willing to make as America looks to our region to supply its energy needs during the next 20 to 50 years.

"Predators of the West" aired on Thursday, September 18, 2003 in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming. It aired in Montana in November 2003. This hour long program explores the challenges Westerns face living with the great predators: the grizzly bear, the wolf, and the mountain lion.

Previous FocusWest programs include "Los Americanos," an examination of the increasing Hispanic influence in the West; "Draining the West?" an exploration of western water law and its applicability to the 21st century; and "Western Divide," a program that looks at how Westerners deal with the nation's public lands.

FocusWest is a consortium of public television stations committed to covering significant public affairs issues in the Intermountain West. FocusWest is now in its second season.
