Live from the Artists Den  "Fitz & The Tantrums"  It was a sensation both familiar and brand new when Fitz & The Tantrums filmed a recent performance for public television's concert series Live from the Artists Den. The show marked a return to their home base for the beloved Los Angeles band, in a truly incredibly venue - the breathtaking Spanish Gothic-style Theatre at Ace Hotel, formerly the United Artists movie palace, built in downtown LA in the 1920s under the hands-on direction of Mary Pickford. Fitz & The Tantrums played its signature dance grooves - blending classic soul and '80s pop on such songs as the band's new single, "The Walker" - and, as always, refused to let the invited audience of 900 even think about sitting down. D

Austin City Limits  "Norah Jones/Kat Edmonson"  Jazz and pop cross with the two musicians. Jones sings songs from her album Little Broken Hearts. Edmonson showcases the song stylings of her recording Way Down Low.G

Great Performances  "Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty"  Matthew Bourne's production marks the choreographer's return to the music of Tchaikovsky for the timeless fairy tale about a princess cursed to sleep for 100 years, which was adapted into a ballet in 1890. Bourne takes the familiar story and sets the beginning in 1890 when the ballet was new. As the princess matures to meet her fate, the time is in the Edwardian era. When the prince awakens her she finds herself in modern times.G
